HI guys and gals I've been serch in for info on wiring up my plx m250 I can't seem to find much of anything I bough it used and previous owner wired in a guage this unit has 2 wires comming from the box one grey one white the white one which I'm assuming goes to the 5v sorce on the ecu and I believe the grey one would be used for narrow ban simulation and wires to the o2 on the ecu.. I Do not plan to run narrow ban simulation because I just figured on using the narrow ban sensor for that and use the wb for logging I even went as far as calling plx and asked them and they said I'm not the only one who calls about the m250 and that they have no info to help me... which I cannot wrap my head around... they made and sold ot why would they not know anything about it... so I just looking for any help at all o cam assume the m300 is differant but hopfully a little similar or any info or a direction or even an educated guess would be helpful I don't wanna screw up the harness over a mistake of wiring thanks in advance

Based on what I could find from Google.

The PLX M250 has 4 wires:

Red wire connects to the +12v Switched Power.
Black wire connects to Ground.
White wire is the 0-5v Wideband output to ECU. (If you're using it)
Grey wire is the simulated 0-1v Narrowband output to the ECU. (If you're using it)

Make sure to give it a robust power feed and good ground connection.

That's what I was figuring on and how I wired it up too and works great. Weird thing is I didn't wire gray wire for nb simulation because I intended on using stock nb but mine currently won't cycle so I ordered a new one and while I'm waiting I tried nb simulation and it's cycling like it's hooked up? I'd assume it's just false info?

They are two different things. DSMLink can take the 0-5v wideband signal and simulate the narrowband input from that or you can use the PLX M250 to simulate the NB signal and feed it to DSMLink in the place of the factory NB O2.

The grey wire is more useful for ECU's that don't know what to do with a WB input.

A real NB O2 sensor is more accurate at outputting the 14.7:1 AFR point than simulation in general and can help validate that your WB is calibrated.
