infinity radio locked up?

I pulled the battery out to change a trans mount and when I put it all back together the radio asked for a code and then the system locked up. Is there anyway to fix this or does it have to be taken into the dealer to be worked on thanks

Get the serial #, call the dealer and inquire about the unlock code, after giving the serial # they should be able to obtain it for you. Write it down for reference. They SHOULD not charge you for this. If they do they are trying to milk you for your money.

For more information do a search on this subject, it has been covered several times. But its pretty much as simple as I explained it.

it did ask for the code and now it does do anything, I think the system completly locked up. I have a spare cd player, but I heard that if you had the factory amp it would mess up alot of things, is this true or can I just install it? Thanks again

I was wondering about something else to, I was talking to a friend who has a 01 eclipse and he said when he changed the battery he had to have the car reprogramed. Because his car idled funny after the battery was changed, well my car started to do the same thing. I am not sure if it is just becasue it was really cold out or what, but the car acted like it was going to die serval times and would ilde around 400 rpm's then would slowly rise back to normal. Thanks

Mine idled just like that for about a day, but it fixed itself. As for the radio just leave it on for a hour or so and it should let you put the code in again.

so if you just leave the radio on for an hour it will let you input the code again.

The serial number is located where? On the back of the radio, maybe?
