I really want to go....Put me down as a maybe. It all depends if I get my parts on monday...I have the 2005 Calendar of Infineon track days...leme go check if it can be reschedule or something.

Ugh you guys suck! I know people that go there like every week but I can't go because of school...dammit.

I used to go every week too two years ago...till I notice I was wasting 20bucks plus gas a week times 4 = over $120dollars a month...I rather save that money for modding my car.
I'll start going a bit more next year with my new setup :thumb:

I was planning on going to Infineon anyways, just to watch. I just hope my car is running by then, somethings wrong with my injectors. If so count me in.

Oh also I saw two nice 2g eclipses at Infineon tonight. Anyone from here?

Yeah i was in the red 2g, i won't be able to make it to the meet but it will be nice to see some DSM representation out there, the three times i've been there has never been any dsm's there. For those of you worried about the tint, dont. i have tint on my side windows and they didn't even look. All they want is an overflow can, battery tie dow and the rest should be fine. As for the person asking for the 100 octane they sell 76 there at the track. It's ATM/ credit only at the pump since there is no actual gas station. Hope you guys have fun.

Oh, by the way, anything faster than 14 sec. you need a helmet (snell approved).

went to redwood city and got the 100 octane :thumb:
went back to I280 to tune.... like my 4th 3rd gear pull.... KABLAOWW..... gotta get a new coupler..... and blew both upper and lower icpiping off the sidemount... that was the first time ive ever blown off a coupler... man was that scary...haha only on 15psi... i hope its only the coupler... if i get back on here saying i need a motor everyone laugh at me ok? :notgood:

hopefully ill be able to get some time together to put a new coupler on and charge my battery (kinda drained it trying to start the motor b4 i realized that i blew BOTH couplers off the sidemount... )

but anyways i have wed off and with the new tune hopefully ill be able to put down some better times... if i go ill be in a ugly fading 1g with crazy oxidation on the roof and with my buddy in his white gst so if we go thats 2 of us to count in...

last thing... get there when it opens 330 sharp... sport street runs first (if its not comp rod) and usually you will average 1 run an hour so you can get 2 practice runs to see what you are doing then put your time on the window for bracket racing at 5 or 530... concentrate on those R/T's if you wanna get a lot of runs in 1 night!!!

Damn I dont have a helmet but I dont think I'll be under 14s with my mods.

So is this going to happen or is it going to be delay for another week?
If it is then we need to start talking about where to meet and what time.
Meeting up as a group at a certain spot? or just meet up at the track? things like this we should be discussing because there's two days left till the 19th.

I still don't know if I'll be able to go...my car might be ready by Wed but we'll see.

Yeah I'm pretty much wondering the same thing. I am still available to go but I would really like to know if anyone else is still planning to go and what the details are. Thanks

It would be nice to have everyone meet at a certain spot, depending on where everyone lives. I live in Pinole so I'm pretty close to the Vallejo bridge, but on Wednesday I'll be in Hayward because thats where my car is at (full function).
For time, lets make sure we are at Infineon by 2 or latest of 2:30pm so meeting at a certain spot by 1pm or earlier would be good. If we are there at 3pm we will miss our first practice run...so the earlier the better. Practice makes perfect :thumb:

Yeah that sounds good to me. I definately would want to drive up with someone who's done this before since I haven't. I was wondering though, the whole 14 second or lower needing a helmet thing. How does that work? On your first practice run do you have to use a helmet incase you run lower than a 14 if you don't know what your time is? 'cause I don't have a helmet and I have no idea what the heck I'd run. heh.

This is whats going to happen...Sometimes the person that checks your car for nitrous and stuff will come up to you and say "are you going to wear a helmet" or "are you going to be faster than 14seconds" or something like that...you can respond with I'm not sure, it's my first time here. So then they let you go and practice.
Don't worry about your time, most of the time hitting a FWD lower than 13s with bolt ons is 50/50 chance you will need one and because is your first time, you might mess up here and there so is a small chance you have to worry about the helmet thing.
If you still worry about the helmet, see if a friend has one or if someone in Tuners thats going to this event has a spare. If you have a biker friend ask to borrow his :thumb:

Okey, so a full-face motorcycle helmet will be allright?

High school gets out at 3 so the earliest Id get there is by 4. I wasnt planning on running yet anyways, so I guess Ill just be watching you guys.

I've been to Infineon several times and the days that i came late (3:30 or so) I had miss my first run already... I think once I came in at 4pm and I barely made it to the second practice run.
I'm not trying to say you're wrong, but I prefer to be there early to be ready and prepare plus there is also new comers to Infineon and it would be nice to show them around that way they know what's going on, rather than getting there and getting ready to start racing. That way theres no frustation and we don't confuse anyone.
Also if we are meeting up together as a group, there might be some delays here and there.
I leave up to you guys though, majority wins :p .

Sorry to do this but I would really like to reschedule this event because I got hired at a new job, only to find out my old boss is offering me a higher position which equals more money for the DSM. Now, the only time I can meet my new boss and tell her that I can't start this coming friday is wednesday around 3pm and I don't want to start on friday and then quit the very next day. Again sorry guys.

GreddyGst: How is Full Function? Are they a good shop? I've seen their website and it looks like they do nice work. I was thinking about going their to get stuff done in the future since its close by. What are you having them do?

aww man, and I was really trying my best to attend this meeting. When did you want to reschedule? remember there is only 4 more Wednesday left in the year. I posted the dates in one of my earlier posts so check it out.

About Full Function, I actually have a pretty long story. From how I met them till now. I've been to my fair share of shops (crappy or okay or soso) and this is THE shop where my Eclipse will always be. Forget your local mechanic, forget your local oak shops. If you want your car to be in a place that you can trust, I would take it there.
They first did my maintenance job on my car (timing belt, and such) I know most would do em themselves but I rather be safe than sorry and the first thing I notice was that they know their DSMs. I would highly check em out, specially since you live so close to them...I drive from Pinole to hayward to get my work done and thats far but is worth it.

Right now they are doing AEM EMS installing/tuning along with some other stuff and they are AEM Certify too, now how many shops on the bay area are AEM Certify??? Trust me once you go to FF your not going to take your car to any other shop except Full Function. true story. :rocks: :thumb: so pretty much I went from a Timing belt job to now having AEM EMS tuning and more...My car isn't very fast but I went from 16s (Yea I was that slow) to 14s (without tuning just bolt ons) and now I was going to see what I was going to hit on Wednesday but we have to reschedule...no biggie your job is more important and thats nice of you to give your old job some notice.

Welp this is the only Wednesday I have off. Oh well, no quarter mile time for me this year I guess...

We could probably still go...anyone else interested?...I'll go if my car is ready Wednesday morning. If not then count me out...I think theres 2-3 other DSMs in this forums that said they were going to go.
