Ok, wow. i researched this code a bit on the site and apperently it gets alot of people. One thing i noticed though was that my description is not what most i found were. Most descriptions i found for the p1500 code was "Generator FR Terminal Circuit Malfunction" but my 1500 is; "Manufacturer controlled vehicle speed, Idle contrl, and auxillary inputs". Also, assuming this is related, i was rejected, not failed, for emissions because several systems tested "Not Ready". I drove for a good amount of time in the hopes that they were just not warmed up enough but no. My vehicle is a '97 Eagle Talon Tsi. Any ideas on remedies to this problem would be much appreciated. thx

Is your car an automatic? Because I found on DSMTalk that p1500 can be related to your fuel pump relay. Not sure how they got that but I am assuming it is the Generator FR Terminal Circuit Malfunction. Which has to do with your alternator not regulating the voltage output properly. I would hook a voltmeter up to it to make sure it's not putting out more voltage than it should. If it does you could have some serious ECU problems. Remember the ECU only needs 5V to runs. You could be putting out 17 almost. If it comes out wierd reading I would replace the battery and alternator. Get back to us because putting out to much voltage could really mess up your sensors.
