alrite guys take it easy on me, im new to dsm,s, left the honda game to have some real fun and make some real power. i got a 95 tsi that i just finished the 6bolt in an im having some problems. full throttle in any gear the car falls on its face from 3500 to about 4500. light throttle can drive normal an when i get past 4500 rpms i can go full throttle. cel is on but says zero codes found. hell i can launch it when it when its breaking up ### it acting like it has anti-lag. the car is also runing a bit rich burned a half tank in about 70 miles doing 65 staying out of boost. an help would be great

There are several issues with swapping the 6-bolt into a 95-96 TSi/GST/GSX.

First is you may have heard of the "random misfires" this is due to the difference in how the ECU sees the cam and crank angle sensors.
1990-1994 AND 1997-1999 used a cam/crank combination sensor on the transmission side of the engine.

in 95 and 96 mitsubishi had a cam angle sensor on the cam gear and a crank sensor on the crank.

It is almost impossible to swap the cam and cas sensor from the 7-bolt onto the 6-bolt.

please read this

RRE Instructions

use google, and look into it.

Also, may I recommend DSM Link (ECM Link) to deal with said issue.

It is highly irresponsible to not have a tuning package in your car.

Also, check plugs/wires, plug gap, and boost leaks.

Tell us how it goes :)

well when i bought the ar it had a 6bolt in it but i drove the car 3days an the motor melted a piston, it had the metal cas on it and i switched it for a black top. car runs great it just acts like it has anti-lag then clears up then its full throttle. just cant go full throttle under 5k. but the cel is but says no codes thats what i dont understand

You cannot rely on your CEL to help you figure this out, it will only tell you if one of the sensors is broken or if one of the sensors reads something way out of wack. You need to have solid facts when troubleshooting your car; what is your injector duty cycle at the RPM's where you are experiencing the issues?

Blacktop CAS and metal CAS are functionally the same thing.

Have you swapped ECU's yet with your old one? was the issue the same with the old ECU? how about the new ECU? what are the differences between how the car behaves with either ECU's?

If you melted a piston, you may be running too much boost, verify that you don't have any boost leaks which may be causing a false reading on your boost gauge (no not rely on the stock boost gauge, its a lie)

you may be reaching fuel cut.

Also: it sucked to replace the engine, it cost a lot of money/buy a tuning package now and a wideband so this doesnt happen again.

Unless you are keeping your car stock, a tuning package is very important for turbo cars. Don't try to save money here, its worth it.

when i got the car it was on 20lbs thats y it blew. i dont really have time to mess with th car rite now but why would the cel stay on if no codes are there' is there a ground wire that grounds where the ecu bolts
