I tried removing the BCS and while putting the screw into the nipple, part of the screw broke and is stuck in the nipple. I don't know what to do now. I'm really frustrated. Please help!

So if I get MBC I don't have to worry about the BCS? But I thought you still need to have the BCS on the car?

As long as the MBC is a ball and spring type you'll be fine.
As for the BCS, you have to leave it electrically plugged in.
I'm pretty sure you'll get a CEL if you remove it from the car entirely.

That is correct. On a 2G, unplugging it will throw a CEL, whereas on a 1G you can get away with removing the BCS entirely.

Yea so all he has to do is keep it plugged in and tuck it away. Then run a vacuum line from the actuator to the jpipe. This way you dont have to buy a MBC if you dont want too.
But running with a BCS is better than running with the hose from the turbo to the WGA. At least with the BCS the ECU can raise the boost a few pounds if the engine doesn knock.

You would only run bypassed like this is you have a problem, like you broke or didn't have the BCS.

Really? thats interseting. that might explain why I was able to hit a rock solid 16 pounds when I had my t-25 and BCS in use. (93 Octane ALL the time)

Yep, if you run it bypassed you will only get between 9-11 pounds if you arent creeping or spiking.

So its ok if there is a piece of screw with the restrictor in the nipple to still use it? Is there any way I can get the piece of screw out?
