Hey guys,
i recently put in a clutch wich was dead and my car is running pretty damn good, i've raced against a slightly modded srt-4 and we were side by side till 3rd gear, also raced a T4 turbo charged, cams, frontmounted etc. GST from a 1st gear roll and i was ahead till the end of 3rd gear by 3 cars since the turbo spools up so fast.

Thing is at higher RPM's and speeds the turbo seems to die off, i guess since it's a small turbo. I have no fuel regulator but have a fuel pump and run 16psi easily.

Is there any way to get more efficiency and speed up top with the 14b? Maybe fuel regulator? I don't want to go with inyectors cause that consists of S-AFC or some other type of management.

Also what's a good turbo with similar spool up time and good top-end?
big 16g? t3/t4??

i want to upgrade at once but i want a fast spooling turbo that will hold his ground up top, even tough i think neither 16g or t3/t4 can spool up that fast, well thanks.

There was an article in the tech section saying the small 16 g was the most under rated turbo around. Personally I'm happy with my evo16g I can't really compare it to the 14b cause the one I had was cracked so bad it spooled slower than my bigger turbo.

race94 - if I were you, I would skip the intermediate step of the 16g family and go right to a 50trim/20g turbo. you'll be making some SERIOUS power and still be streetable. thats what i plan on doing once i max out this b16g

i'm thinking that 50 trim is the way to go since i want good decent power

I'll try saving up for a FMIC first and then see how the 14b performs :)

Thanks
