ignition wiring

ive found similair posts while looking through the forum but havent answered my specific question. I need to wire my megasquirt for my 420a to one of my ignition wires. It needs to be on while cranking and when in the on position. Theres about 5 wires coming from the ignition key switch and i need to know which one will give me power when ON and when cranking. thanks

Get a test light and probe your wires. Fool preef way and pretty cheap tool.

Look at your manual if you have one in the wiring diagram section. It will tell you which wires they are

I found out what wires are for what but wana know which one to tap into. They r labeled accessory, starter, ignition, ignition 2, and constant 12v. If I want it on while in on and start do I tap into one of the ignition wires? Does it matter which one?
