2G ignition wires arcing. bad wire?

hey guys so i have a rough idle is low and it hunts. i noticed the sound of electric cracking and thought maybe some wire were touching. so i looked at it at night and i could see lights coming from the wires in a few different spots, does this mean they are bad? i tested the resistance on them and they all had low ohms

If there is spark arcing from the wires, yes they obviously have exposed conductors and are bad.

Wow. Yes replace ASAP. Although many people recommend and use NGK wires, I've encountered problems with them twice now, one had persistent problems with staying connected to the plug, the other had a rubber boot which melted and got all over the valve cover. I also had a problem with Bosch wires wearing through from heat. I've been pleased with my beck/arnley premium wires (I think they were $15 from rock auto), which I originally only got because they were black, but they've been holding up good over two years now.

Same issue here...kinda... when i pull the 1st plug my spark shoots nearly 2 inches to the v/c, pulled the 2nd and it has a small arc and i can see it arcing at the coil pack, but when i plug it in i can't see it, my cars misfiring at wot, and now as of today it was bucking and felt like loss of power at low rpm, but if i held the gas it would eventually pull normal... I have wires on the way, has msd on it now going with no. New plugs and coil

ok so i went to autozone. (I am a manager there) and got some delphi coils and some duralast gold wires i replaced both coils and put the wire on and no dice. my car is still making a crackling noise thats sounds like its coming from my wires. also my car is still idling like crap from 250 to 600 rpms jumping back and forth. is there maybe a ground that is supposed to help with this? maybe the wires i got just suck and are defective? im gonna let it idle with the hood up tonight to see if i can still see light along the wires and valve cover. ive replaced my throttle body along with my iac. i also deleted my egr valve. other than that my car is all stock

Only thing that comes to my mind when you say crackling noise is an exhaust leak.
You definitely shouldn't see any spark or light emanating from the ignition system. If spark is coming from the body of the wires, it has breaks in the insulation. If you see spark from the ends, either the spark plug or coil, they might not be fully seated or the boots are bad.

Have you done a boost leak test since working on the tb and stuff?

i know forsure its something to do with my ignition system. the crackling sounds a lot like electrical spark. it runs fine when moving, just very slight sputter when i let off the gas cruising in low rpms. (going 45 in 5th gear with no throttle) also my car is awd so to get moving from a stop i need to rev to like 1500rps and ease into the clutch, cause i have very little power to get moving when my car is trying to idle
