hello my ignition fusible link keeps blowning. what could i look at to see whats blowing it

LOL!!! That just happened to me this week. It was wires that were leading from the starter and they were melted to my EGR tube. Check for wires near places that are hot. Mine stalled on me in the morning and it was like 20 degrees outside. :(

i am starting to get mad i cant find it

It helps to know when the fuse blows. Accessory, run or start position?
Does it do it right away or after you do something else like roll up the windows or hit the brakes.

well here is how it happened ok
i went to the mall and some one told me my tail lights didnt work. so i checked the fuse and it was blown so i went home replaced it and started the car it ran for like 5 min and my lights flickered and boom it started smoking and be for i could shut it off the power went dead and it wouldnt start. so now my ignition fuse keed buring

well i still havnt been able to find the problem. can any one recommend some way to find it. i heard of a short detector tool. has anyone ever used one.

is it possible you can get a wire schematic? are you using the right amp fuse? i had a similar problem but mine was caused by a mouse having a field day through my fender, my coil pack and a whole bunch of sensors on the car and i had to repair them.

if you get the wire schematic it could help you trouble shoot the problem.

the wire schemmy will help when my 91 laser started popping the ign fuse i had to go to the junk yard and get a lot of them eventually i followed relay to fuse and discovered my clock switch where the key goes was bad and from attempting opperation and breaking down a few altenators later i just cut my trio fuse holder off and rewired a new one because i located some toasted wires best of luck on your adventure in search of damages heat and abuse caused my problems
