ok so somehow my keys have disappeared overnight and after hours and hours of searching i gave up. So i had the bright idea to drill out the old ignition on my 97 spyder and swap it with the one from my 97 eagle talon parts car. It all went smooth until i tried to put the new ignition in. The little thing on the end that has two flat sides does not line up with its hole in the ignition. I have looked up replacements and according to oreillyauto.com they are the exact same. Anyone have any ideas?

why wouldnt you just call a lock smith to come out and make you a key for it? same thing happened to my ford ranger couple years ago and it was like 50$. 1 week later i found my keys under my side of the bed FML!

No the ignitions are a lot more than the price of having a lock smith come out LOL... Bad though process on that one don't worry I probably would of done the same thing looks like your stuck here you might end up having to get another one from a junk yard and match it up to make sure its correct.
