I am in, Rhode Island
I took the DSM out today to dust off some winter cobwebs, and ended up stuck on the side of the road.

After a few full throttle pulls, i was sitting at a red light and all was well, when the car suddenly died.

I had to push the damned thing through a crowded intersection, but eventually got to the breakdown lane and started looking for the cause of the issue. I quickly found that the MPI fuse was blown, killing power to the ignition. I just happened to have some wire snips in the car, so i cut a piece of extra ground wire from my meth injection setup, made a little loop to bypass the fuse and drove home.

After figuring out what was connected to that fuse, i decided to check the O2 sensor wiring, because i remembered it looking a little tired when i taped it up 6 months ago.

Turns out, one of the O2 sensor wires broke (a ground) and made contact with a positive wire, causing the short that fried the fuse and caused the brief breakdown.

So, the moral of the story is, if you fry an MPI fuse, the O2 sensor wiring is a likely cause.

If you find this to be useful information, please tag it as helpful. :)

Cheers,

Matt
