I just got my 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi and need to know what needs to be replaced before i start doing some serious modding, aiming for around 380-400 hp. So if anyone could make a quick list of everything that i should replace or get before i start modding i want to do everything right the first time. Also if u have the time could u post how much each thing would cost . Preferably in canadian Dollars but american is alright because i can convert it.

that does not tell u what to replace before u start modding it just tells u what ur first mods sould be. im talking about replacements such as ignition coil, spark plugs, ect... i need a list of all that stuff.

There is no This is what you must do before modding guide. When I got my car, I changed the timing belt/waterpump and plugs right away. Then, a couple thousand miles later, I got a new clutch and put new half-shafts in cause my boots were gone. Then it started leaking oil into the sparkplugs, so I got new valve cover gaskets. It all depends on what your car needs.

Any dealer can tell you this. You can also obtain a copy of the owners manual for your year, make and model car from Mitsubishi or Chrysler. It's pretty much a typical regimen of changes for oil, filters, plugs and belts. You can also get a shop manual for your car which details the wheres, whens and hows for the various procedures.

New owners: PLEASE read the "Vital Information" section of this FAQ to inform yourself about important potential problems. Also note that timing AND balance shaft belts REALLY should be changed by 60 kmiles (90 kkm), so used-car owners will want to check that right away.

Uh, it's called a tune-up. Refer to your Hayne's/Chilton's manual.
