well I got started on doing exhaust work.. and pretty much from the stock downpipe back I got 2.5 inch exhaust..

I was thinking of just getting a 2.5inch downpipe and bolting it up and having complete exhaust rather then going through the hassle of replacing all of it and going to 3inch

would 2.5inch exhaust support a 14b @ 20psi ?

can it hold 300whp? thats all I'm shootin for in this car..

what is a good 2.5inch downpipe.. and a good sounding loud muffler
that would fit 2.5??? I'm lookin at apexi

At one point I was running 18PSI on a B16G through only a catback 2 1/2". So you may be OK. BUT, if I were you I would go 3" right off. You'll be glad you did. If you want to stick with the exhaust you have now, I would suggest a dump tube off of the O2. With that you would be just fine for sure.:thumb:

well.. I got a good piping. Thats the whole dilemma. All I'd need to buy is a 2.5inch downpipe and probably another muffler (just too make it louder&look better).

the biggest turbo I'd ever buy for this car is a 16g and I got practically 2.5inch turbo back minus muffler and downpipe. Would it be worth the trouble of replacing it or if you were in my shoes would you just run what I got and live with it.

If your looking for loud, run the 2 1/2" and add the dump tube off of the O2. As far a muffler, I run a Bullet. It is straight through and very loud.:thumb:

I'm going for a little bit of look too..

I like the look of a 4inch muffler tip at a upwards tilt tucked up there nicely..

what would fit the bill for this?

16g would be just fine through 2.5.

just get a 2.5 cheap DP on ebay and a 2.5 inch striaght through from any vendor of your choice..

like stated above, the bullet is nice.

I have a 2 1/2" downpipe and 3" cat-back. It is totally fine with a 16g, as would your set up. As long as you stick to a 16g or so, you'd be fine. Another great sounding muffler is the Magnaflow....it looks nice too.

This is kind of off topic put you're running 20 psi on a 14b, i'm pretty sure 14b's tend to max out at 18psi and anything after that they'd just be blowing hot air into the motor. I've read many different things of the 14b but i never took mine past 15psi so i wouldn't know from expirience.
