idling rpms

After my car has warmed up it ildes at 800-900 rpms. Is this normal. It kinda seems low to me. And the other day after I drove it home on the highway for bout 30 min. i got back in to drive it 30 min later and when i starded it and the rpm dropped realy low and acted like it was going to die. So shut if off and restarted it and it was fine. Anyone know what it could be.

4G63 based DSM's are programed to idle at 750 +-50 RPM.
