I installed a set of delta 272 cams in my car this past weekend, and since the install I have had some idle issues. To set the idle, I grounded the plug in the engine compartment and left my logger hooked up. I set it to about 800 rpm with the BISS screw. I also decided to check the timing(with logger disconnected), and it was perfect at 5 degrees. Now that all the grounds are removed, my car still wants to idle around 600 rpm. The even more bizzare thing is what my logger says for timing, it says that the car is running between -2 to 5 degrees of timing. I know this is really low and I was wondering if this could be the cause of my problems?

What is your low fuel trim? You many need to add or subtract some fuel with the cam install.
Also, your logger should show around 8* at idle, which is separate from the cam timing of 5btdc

I am having this problem also. I didn't want to start a new thread so i'll just bump this one up and maybe someone can help me out.

I'm running Delta 272's & my engine won't idle well at 750, it seems to be happy around 900rpm. I had to pull a good amount of fuel around idle area as well. You have to remember that the added duration is going to really lower/throw off your idle.
I don't have any issues with timing bouncing around though, it holds rock solid at 5*.
