Idle issues

Idle surges from 900 to1500 when I rev up to 3000 or higher and let off it will drop all most all the way to 0 and it try's to die then perks back up

He is saying you probably have a bad idle speed controller (ISC), a dirty throttle body (TB), need to adjust your base idle set screw (BISS), or have boost leaks around your throttle body. He also asked if your check engine light (CEL) is on. (however it probably itsn't).

I think it's my idel air screw I can't get it diald right sometimes it's too high then other times its too low I can't get it to the correct setting

When you adjust your BISS you need to make sure that both the ECU diagnostic pin 10 and the timing check connectors are both grounded to a suitable chassis point. Then set your base idle, this disallows the ECU from moving the ISC to compensate for your adjustments. Having done that and the ubiquitous Boost Leak Test (BLT). Then I'd look into the ISC. You can ohm it out and see if there are an open set of coils in the motor. Unless I'm missing something, past that you ###### should remove clean the TB and possibly look in to a deeper issue being a FIAV, or some flakey sensor.

If you read over the first one. You will learn alot. The biss is a back up to fine tune idle. Make sure you have no leaks before that. Also is you ISC working correctly.

Inter cooler pipes were seperated from eachother in the rubber couplings
