I just rebuilt the engine and, the idle is running at 2,000-2,300 rpm is there anyway to resolve this also the check engine light is on. I have the AC and P/S belt off but plugged in My vacuum looks to be ok. help.

check the code, see what that is.

If after you resolve code and its still idling high, check and adjust your throttle position sensor.

Ok will do I don't have a way to pull the code. I will double check my maf and, both my o2 sensors are new.. I will double check everything in the morning if it still persists I will post a vid.

Most common idle issues are TPS(throttle position sensor), IAC(idle air control), air in the coolant, vacuum leak. Pull the code then go from there.

Well I figured out that one of my coolant lines was not clamped down all the way and the front o2 sensor is broken. I bought a OBDII code reader off amazon last night oh well it will come in hand hopefully with the new o2 sensor I will idle better I'll keep you all posted.

I had the code pulled @ my local Napa and it was the Idle air control Valve. Problem solved. Thanks fellas. :thumb:

Ok so I also pulled a code for the front o2 sensor which I broke some way or another I have replaced the IAC and the front o2 my check engine is off and my vacuum is perfict I am idling higher 2200-3000 rpm my timing marks are good. The only thing I can possibly think of is that when installing the IAC do you have to adjust it any and if so are there any threads on how to do so? Thanks in advance fella's
