idle issues (6-bolt swap)

ok, heres the deal. my car before was idling and would not run when cold. now we have replaced the MAF and it runs fine when you start it up, but once it warms up from driving it, if you stop, it will go dead unless you idle it up past 1200rpms, it was set on about 900 or so, but it wont run like that. the egr was unhooked, and it did it, then we hooked it back up and it still did the same exact thing. help! WTF

maybe the iacv, or a vacuum leak...!! have you performed a (BOOST LEAK TEST)?

no vacuum leaks, i'm pretty sure there is no boost leak, but then again i have never ran a test, and it could very well be the iacv.

you know, come to think of it -- my boost gauge is well beyond what it was set to (12psi) maybe i DO have a boost leak, unless my gauge is just retarded and isn't reading right, which wouldn't surprise me with all the problems i've had with the thing

crap, thanks for making me realize-- it never really registered to me since i dont watch the boost gauge anyways, but i took it down the road and the gauge did in fact read way over 12psi.

well in that case check you wastegate actuator? so are you running stock boost?

yeah, stock gauge is electric so no way to tell until i get a real gauge on it, i don't think there are any boost leaks, it runs too good and pulls too hard to have any leaks at all. no vacuum leaks or anything but i haven't check the iacv. I'm putting a egr blockoff on this weekend, think that may be the problem?
