Ok so I found a guy with a bare short block, he isn't quite sure of what it is but thinks that it might be a 6 bolt, which would be great, but he says its 100% bare

i read
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/271695-resolved-bare-6-bolt-block-really-6-bolt.html

but what if this short block doesn't have the caps on it? Is there any other way to tell?

If i missed a post somewhere else resolving this issue i apologize, i have been searching for a little while and have come up short other than the post i cited here.
