identify this turbonetics turbo.

Here are some pics but the only numbers are 20192 on the compressor and in the middle section the numbers read 20196 it is freshly rebuilt just wondering if it is good for anything.

What the OP is callin Turbo 2 has the same number, and some specs on it are in the thread too, but im going to keep searching

T04B cover, 60-1 compressor, either a P-trim or O-trim turbine in a giant, undivided T4 turbine housing.

This turbo might see full boost before 6k on a DSM; otherwise it's better off on a tugboat or locomotive.

No plans to use on a DSM a guy dropped it off at the shop to see if i could get some numbers on it. It came with a whole bunch of parts like a turbonetics deltagate wastegate and and big plate to go on a carburetor and some piping I guess it was supposed to be used on a Ford mustang or something. but it looks like thats all that can support it. Do they make a different exhaust housing for it to make spool up a little faster?

Not much available for the O-trim if that's what it has, but if it's a P-trim turbine there are some options.

Precision makes a T3 turbine housing to work with the P-trim turbine wheel. It's used on turbos like the SC6169. Not sure what one of these housings would go for on it's own, but I'm sure it will be in the $300 range.

Bullseye Power USED to make housings for the O-trim and P-trim that would convert it to a DSM bolt-on turbo (TMG4 and TMG5). I'm not sure if they are interested in making them anymore or if they still have any on the shelf.

Other than that, the P-trim is a T4-only turbine wheel.

Pull the turbine housing off and measure the turbine wheel inducer and exducer.

O-trim = 2.922" IN, 2.296" EX
P-trim = 2.922" IN, 2.544" EX

Well I wouldn't use it on a DSM, but if you want to get rid of it, I'm looking for a turbo for my senior design jet turbine project

Man, that compressor cover sure looks old. And you don't see very many of those on-center turbine housings being used these days.

I'd be willing to bet it's a P-trim turbine wheel. Measure and let us know. Also, is there an A/R number casted somewhere on the turbine housing?

well it is a P trim there are no A/R casting numbers just some numbers in the center section that i already listed.

NVM there is a an A/r stamped on it but i cant see the numbers the turbo also says its a P96
