I was wondering if i should tint my windows orange?
Also does any one have there window any other tinted color than black?
Can you post your tints on you cars? thanks alot:thumb:

I personally don't like any other color of window tint over that black. I've seen blue tint on a blue car and it looked okay, I've seen orange tint on an orange Chevy and it looked like crap.

I second that. I've seen a lot of ricers around me that have different colored tint (blue, green, orange, mirror) and it just looks stupid. They think it'll look cool because they try to match the tint to the color of their car and it just doesn't work.

Black tint FTW! :thumb:

i agree with everyone else black is the way to go, but i also think some cars can pull off the mirror tint look (although i would think this tint is illegal or at least get you pulled over often). just my 2 cents

I would never have orange tint, I like just the regular dark black tint.

To each his own though. Its your car and if orange really floats your boat go for it, nobody has to drive it but you.

id would say a big negative on that idea. well if you also have a giant metal wing and neons every where then oh yeah go for it.

Orange might be a long shot, but and here it is, there are tints and are not solid orange. I put on some tint for a friend a few years ago that was a a grey / black 35 percent with a slight green tint. It looked pretty good when the sun hit it. Wasn't a solid green, most times it looked like regular window tint, but when the light came across the car it just looked good.
I would definitely say no to a solid day glow orange, but like everyone else said its not impossible to pull it off.

That might look ok hmm. I see your car pic but it is not finished. where is the pic of your car painted or does it still look like that?

Not to offend dude (well maybe a little) but take the damn ricer wing off the DSM... its not an integra.. I can deal with the body kit I guess.. BUT damn!:dsm:

After looking at your car and the color of it...i would say why not? I mean you already have the APC decal on the front windsheild, might as well seal the deal.

LMFAO!!!! Ok... I looked at the pic-- I agree... DO IT!!!

Then get some of those APC racing seat belt pads at schucks and a wal-mart muffler and a VTEC tuning sticker and you'll be set!:dsm:

I said it like a 1000x that is a old pic i dont have that sticker on there any more.
Also i do have a muuffler but it is not from walmat it is from a auto sports store.
:tease: Oh and them apc seat belt pads are in the back seat hopefully under the seat.

The windows have tint already.
But it is pelling off little by little.
I want to redo it but i want to see a night .
so now i was thinking of a blackish/grayish tint hmm

Car still looks like that, except re-tinted to 40% grey. It just sits there in a old garage for molds and whatever else I feel like making when I have time. Most time goes into the gto these days. Heres a pic from years ago that show the same brand of tint I'm referring to.

With an orange car I would do a dark black tint or a reflet tint. Reflect tint is either black or gray and is glossy, not mirrored like people think it is.

Not to offend you dude, (well maybe a little) but loose the faded clear coat and install the marker lights; its a DSM not an derby car. OK, ennuff said. Id take the wing off, and I have been debating this for quite some time now, but it fits the rear end. I built the body and had a wing in mind when I did so. If you saw it in person you would see it fits quite well. Without it, somethings just missing. Maybe I'll take some time a do a dsmtuners leave it or pitch it poll before I paint it.

A 4x4 dsm with a 747 wing on it. I wonder how many people point and laugh at that thing daily.

Seeing that this car no longer exists, I would have to say you probably get more laughs these days from stupid comments and ignorant rants.

Now, back the the main topic here, a question involving tints.

If you read my profile you would know that im in the process of a 92' Frond end converstion... getting rid of popups... and about the paint... You dont have much room to talk considering that your car is not even in primer its IN BONDO!! and looks like its about to take off if you go to fast... which is doubtful because the BONDO body kit would fall off at freeway speeds....
