I have a stock 97 GST and I was wondering what is the best BOV valve for my car for a reasonable price. If anyone has any suggestions please respond.

The 1G BOV is reasonably priced and is proven to hold about 18 psi of boost. If that's not enough it can be adjusted (crushed) to hold up to about 22 psi of boost.

I think you should get an aftermarket one, The HKS SSQ is the most favored one from what I've seen and the greddy type-s too. The stock 1g is good but you never know, shit may start elaking, aftermarket ones are built better. Try looking or requesting in the classified section.

a lil more whoosh for yer buck - turbo HS type H ( re-routable )

Price - Definately a 1g bov.
Little more expensive - Turbo XS Type H
Even More Than That - Greddy Type S
Even More - HKS SSQ

A whole lot of people go with the greddy type s if they are re-routing the bov back into the intake on a 2g. If you want to vent then I'm going to recommend a HKS SSQ for you.

Up to you tho.

I'd go with the Greddy Type-S...nice sound. It is more expensive than say a 1G BOV, but I believe it is worth it.

He will have to buy a small 1g bov adapter for the 2g stock upper IC pipe.

Go there and scroll all the way to the bottom. Show him this and tell him he will have to buy this in order to put a 1g bov on the stock upper ic pipe.

You can also buy a new upper intercooler pipe flanged for the 1G BOV. Get both of those mods done over with. ;)
