I Think My Tranny Left Me

after a recent oil change my car has been acting funny. it started hesitating, and it sounds different. so on the way to work today it just wouldnt go, it wouldnt shift, it jerked and it was just hell. in fear of me breaking down i turned around and made it home. im hoping that maybe my tranny fluid is low, and a quick fill will have me on the road again. if not i guess im gonna need a new tranny....god i hope it snot my engine. does this sound like its my tranny? what do you think?

i'm guessing u have an auto trans... it wouldn't surprise me if it was the tranny which i think it is, they are very knouwn for the tranny's going out.. all eclipse/talons/lasers i have looked at where i live that have autos 99% of them the trans have gone out and can't afford a new because they can't be rebiult... the cheepest i have found is 750 bucks just for the tranny not installing or anything. but like u said i would check every, check to see if the its low on fliuds, what color is it, does it smell burnt , if filling it back up doesn't help try flushing it out and puting new auto trans fliud in it, if it still does it my guess would be its bad and would need to be repalced... but by your description it sounds like the tranny.. hope i helped you some

thank you for taking time to hear me out, god i hope it aint gonna cost me that much to replace that thing. tomorrow im gonna go get so new fluid and try that, if that doesnt work i guess its going on a roll back and off to the mechanics.

if that dont work.... drain the fluid back out and chage the filter
and if that dont work drain about half a quart out and drop in some DOT3 brake fluid run it for like 10 miles and drain it and put in all tranny fluid..
