Alright, I think I just blew out my mbc. So here is the story, I had it set to 10 psi or so with my s16, then yesterday I swapped to an e316. well when I went for the test drive, it was all normal just driving easy and stuff, then I decide to get on it a bit and it spikes A LOT!!! and boost levels are way above what the mbc is set at, I even went and turned it down all the way and same results. I am pretty sure I hooked the lines back up to what they were before as well. And I reused the wastegate actuator too. I have a cheapy mbc and I am assuming this happens with them? Does this sound like the problem? or what is your guys' opinion?

Did you check to see that it's the turbos problem before ruling the MBC as an issue? take out the MBC and do another pull, does the boost stay steady at wastegate pressure or no? The reason I ask is if you would search your mods, you would realize the E316g is notorious for boost creep due to its wastegate hole inlet being very restrictive for the exhaust gasses to leave and bypass the turbine.

that MAY be a possibility, I say this cause I just swapped in the cold side of the e3, and so the hot side housing is from my small. Today I will remove the mbc and see if it stays at wastegate pressure as well.

Is this a Ebay 16g?Check to make sure your wastegate works! There was a how to on here about how to make sure your wastegate is set to open with a adjustable arm.
