but yeah the battery did get disconected..
he also said it got a dsm link?

Unless you have V3, that is most likely your problem...

You lost the tune.

Do you know what size injectors the car has?

Do you have the cable for DSMLink?

i dont have the cable for dsm link and i only got the car 2 days ago and i said im new to the dsm thing i built hondas for 5 years and wanted to try this thats why im trying to find some one who lives close that can give me a hand

OK, You need to do a couple of things here.

1- Pull out your ECU and remove the 4 screws from the side. Look in the lower right corner (with the main connector on the top) and see if there is a chip there that says something like "2g DSMLink v2.5".

2- If you have that chip YOU NEED TO GET THE CABLE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER. Otherwise your DSMLink is useless, you can not get a new cable for it. The only exception to that would be if your chip is red (v3).

so heres the up date i found 3 hose clamps that were really loose and some bolts on the throttle body..
now i can build boost but only to 5lb and its set for 18? i really need some one to help with the boost leak check im meeting up with one of the members from this site today. he is gonna help me figure this out but ill kepp you updated

Dude you were getting 18lbs because of a boost leak most likely, also you DON'T want to be boosting 18lbs on stock turbo and stuff the turbo wont last very long, especially if you can't maintenance it. You should be hitting 11psi full throttle if your car is stock. What do you mean its set for 18lbs? do you have a boost controller?

OoOoOo, so they sold you a garbage turbo? You didn't check the turbo before you bought it/drove it? Doesn't really matter. Used 14b's or t25's can be bought for around $100.

Easy BRO!!!!:notgood: I got the extra turbo when I bought the car. It was not any ebay junk I would have never put it on there if it was. Anyways it was a evo3 16g rebuilt buy a friend that is A: a mechanic by profession and B: has been dealing with turbo DSM's longer then you have been driving Im sure. so take it easy Im just trying to help, i had the same symptoms just my turbo seized up.

Easy? Checking the turbo is "easy bro". And your friend has been a mechanic for atleast 5 years? Cool. Tell him I said good job. :thumb:

*Anyway* back to the problem at hand, I am glad you found those loose clamps and loose bolts. That means there was a boost leak. BUT you still have not done a proper boost leak I am sure. It really does not matter if the boost controller is set to 18 psi if it can not hold the pressure. You make have a small pin hole leak that can only be seen thru seafoaming or a leak down test. That will exert more air out of the hole faster with the more you push the throttle in.

As far as the car sputtering and wanting to stall, you could be running too rich. Which will definetly make your car run slowly/want to stall out. Simple things you can check.

Compression
Boost Leaks
Seafoam
Spark plugs (see if they are white or brown or black)
Check your MAF (maybe switch one out or buy another for $40)
And figure out if you have had the car tuned or not and IF you lost the tune.

Good luck with fixing that thing, hopefully the members you are meeting up can fix the problem.

as many I'm not boosting threads that have come out in the past month... from every thread I've seen and from personal experience disconnect the downpipe from the cat and try and boost, it usually is a clogged cat. 9/10 times, if not then boost leak test and thanks for the seafoam idea never even thought about trying that as a way to do a boost leak test.

my car is not stock at all i got the 6 bolt swap fully built from slow boy racing its built for 25lb but i turned it down i found out what it is the waste gate is frozen up so i need to find a new one for a 60trim turbo. but no my car is not stock, at 18lb of boost i got 380 to the crank and 325whp. So if any one has a waste gate that will work let me know thanx
