so im new to the dsm and turbo thing but any ways i got a 95 gst with the 6bolt swap on 18lb of boost but for some reason when i pull out of my drive way and try to get on it as soon as the boost gauge gets to zero my car sputters and losses power and also some times shuts off if any one can help me please let me know what you think thanx

i checked thur all on tight i herd it might be a speed sencor

like every ones else said, do a boost leak test. you wont be able to tell just by looking at the fittings

I agree do a boost leak check, but if it comes back good and you do have a safc. If it reset for some reason (i.e: didn't store imput reset when battery was disconnected) if your car has been tuned and safc reset it can cause your car studder and or stall. Never happened to me, but my buddies car that i got did the same thing. Just a thought if you have one

is the car stock?
look on the "big" hose that goes to your intake, your "blow off valve" should have a vaccume line on it!
is it there?
(I had the same problem)

Do a boost leak first like they say. If no leaks then Id check to see if your turbo is spinning. Pull off your intake boot and try to spin the compressor wheel. Mine did the same thing and it was a set- up turbo:ohdamn:. If you have the stock rubber I/C lines they will actually collapse when you rev it and cut off most of the air to the motor thus only letting it go to 0 on your boost gauge. You will still get vac though. Hope this helps, keep us updated..

What is a "set-up turbo"?

OP: Visual inspections are not boost leak inspections. You have to pressurize the system with an air compressor. If you had the car running I would suggest Seafoaming it, that will also show leaks. But check all fluids as well as the BOV and turbo for shaft play.

Report back AFTER you have read all the Rules & Regulations. This board has EVERYTHING you will ever need to do ANYTHING to your car. Step by step instructions and even reviews on products. It is a lot faster to just use the Search Function and look through the forums than to wait on responses. There are many questions you can and will ask that ALREADY have been answered. Good luck and post results AFTER you have done a number of things. Take your time.

you should start doing some research on what he "said" was on the car that way you would be able to identify and find out what you do and don't have on there. But what does your air fuel gauge say when this sputtering and stuff happens

what is a set -up turbo???WTF the compressor wheel/ turbine wheel wont spin. or seized up

OoOoOo, so they sold you a garbage turbo? You didn't check the turbo before you bought it/drove it? Doesn't really matter. Used 14b's or t25's can be bought for around $100.

95gst18psi: Just make sure you search & read everything I tell you. Trust me, it will help. You just have to dedicate a day or two and you will see a hell of a difference when your staring at your car trying to fix it.

Easy BRO!!!!:notgood: I got the extra turbo when I bought the car. It was not any ebay junk I would have never put it on there if it was. Anyways it was a evo3 16g rebuilt buy a friend that is A: a mechanic by profession and B: has been dealing with turbo DSM's longer then you have been driving Im sure. so take it easy Im just trying to help, i had the same symptoms just my turbo seized up.

You "traded your honda for this ###"? NO, you traded your ### for your dsm.... By the way are you talking about your honda being sleeved, because a dsm doesnt use sleeves, and you cant "just" bore a 4g63 2.0 to a 2.1.
