* * I need a list of everything that can cause fuel cut

After doing some more reading I decided to do the compression test hot, here's my results w/out putting any oil in the cylinders.

Cylinder 1: 139
Cylinder 2: 145
Cylinder 3: 145
Cylinder 4: 150

I'm glad that turned out ok, but what now?

That's about right for a 1g. I've usually seen around 145 or so.

Quick question is there anything besides the egr valve that could leak internally? I'm asking this because I still hear air around the intake manifold when doing a test, but I can't feel it anywhere.

And a big stupid thing I forgot to mention is that even though my caps on my ecu have leaked, I know that I have a boost leak because the car will not hold pressure. If I can even get it to hit 15psi (120psi air compressor) it will bleed down in about 2.5 seconds. This is a massive leak, but it's not external.

As I stated before I've even used a fog machine and found nothing. This thing is really making me feel stupid that I can't figure it out.

Take care of your Ecu first thing, I'm confused I thought first thing in the thread you said you had no boost leaks? your presure is gonna bleed down no matter what, slower than that though. Did you turn your crank over to make sure there was no valves open? Say around 30*ATDC?

I said that I have "no boost leaks to the atmosphere", and a guy on the local forum is going to have a look at my ecu soon. I did take it for a drive yesterday though and it was still cutting out but it felt much more gentle like a misfire. So the randomness of it has me hoping it's just the ecu. I'll post back when it gets fixed.

Ok guys, the ecu was trashed. 8 holes in the board total, and many connections ate away. A local repaired it for me, car's running good, no more cutting out.

I haven't checked my fuel trims yet but I suppose that they'll be a lot better since the car is running so much better, getting boost sooner, and off boost throttle response is much nicer. Moral of the story, check the ecu before you pull your hair out doing boost leak tests.
