hey guys i got a 97 gst. only mods on the car are a greddy fmic. greddy type s BOV and a bj's racing manifold. i think im suffering from fuel cut. when i feather on the gas pedal gently it drives fine. but when i go into WOT the car feels like it hits a wall and boggs aroung 3000-4000 rpm. im hitting around 5-10 psi when this happens. i have only the EGR check engine on right now. i have a very very small boost leak but i dont think its enough for fuel cut or i might be wrong. i changed wires, coils, and still same problem. i tried something today where i disconnected the MAF sensor and it actually ran strong except when i hit second gear the engine would die down and it smelled like gasoline real bad. anything that i have missed would really help. can this be fuel cut???

Fix that boost leak first and go from there. Try not to run the car without the MAF anymore. The ECU freaks out and pours fuel in.

i disconnected the MAF for only a test run. just to see what would happen. it wasnt really hitting that fuel cut anymore. but obviously throwing a bunch of gas.....ill try and seal every little leak. but what if its still doing the same problem.???

You're not hitting fuel cut because the computer doesn't know how much air is being taken in. The MAF is what makes fuel cut, since the ECU can't measure how much fuel is going in, it measures how much air is going in. Too much air makes it say nope, no more fuel.

What mods do you have done?
