Mods. td06h 20g, 550cc injectors, 3" turbo back, 28x10x3.5 fmic, injen intake, ported 2g EM, ported o2 housing.

I just installed my SAFCII today and just need a good general basic base tune to get it running better than what it was before I installed the SAFC. Thanks alot.

There are a couple of things that you need to check before you start to tune your car.

1. Spark plug gap should be between 0.026 and 0.028".

2. Use 1 step colder NGK plugs than stock

3. Make sure you don't have any boost leaks.

Once all of that is done, it's time for the fun stuff :thumb:

Give this a read 2 or 3 times and then post any questions.

I also responded in your post here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226504 But you could always borrow someones logger, I am pretty sure that there are other tuners in your area that have one, be it a DSMer or other, the ODB-II logger works on serveral cars. Are there any perofmance/ race forums that you could ask on in th area, or ractrack you could visit and mingle with the racers?

I had one in the time period of being pissed off during my turbo swap and it not running right that I was just going to leave it AS IS and sell it so I started selling stuff and sold the logger... I believe im going to try to find a cheap wideband and another logger..

There arent too many DSMs floating around in my area so I dunno. Today I'm going to pick up my fuel pump and stick it on and then this weekend I'm meeting up with the guy who has the FPR that I'm goign to buy and I'm also going to try to swipe his 680cc's

FYI, 680s on piggyback may turn into a beotch to tune and keep timing from going thru the roof, you will DEFIANTLY want to keep a logger if going this route. Thus why I got rid of the piggybacks and run "the link".
