hey guys...its been a year since i touched my DSM, last year i installed a whole 50 trim setup and now i need a base tune. 50 trim 21 psi, ex wg (if that makes a difference to anyone), 780cc's, hks 272s, FMIC, intake, exhaust, 255 fp

thanks for the help

im on my friends sn, but i have an afc-2 and no logger. thats why im just looking for a base tune

So I take it your not selling it anymore? :p

Anyway, those 780s and no AFPR are going to kill you on an SAFC2. My advice? Go with what JayRolla said (even though I doubt you want to spend money on it at this point). To give you a very safe and rich base tune, throw -30 across the LO and -25 across the HI. That'll probably throw in you the rich area, instead of pig rich LOL For comparison, I was running -40 HI's on my 660/50trim a while back and was still pegging 9.5:1 on the dyno.

o no shes going...someones coming to pick her up sunday

idk i guess i just wanted to see if i could have a decent baseline tune waiting for her. the person picking it up knows its gonna need a few toys to bring her back to life

thanks guys for the help...im gonna go out there now and see what happens

thanks again

you're going to need a wideband to baseline it even. Every motor and car are so different that even when people have the exact same setup and management, the map from car A would probably not run car B very well.

Have you read the section on RRE's website about how to tune a SAFC?? There's an easy procedure for the "LO" and another for the "HI" settings, it's really easy, go read a little and you'll be fine doing it yourself. But it sounds like you have injectors that may be too big for the AFC to compensate for, but you will know if you max out the "LO" in the negative direction and the car still wont perform the swinging o2 volts that show that the closed loop is able to function. but if closed loop can be gotten close enough to function use their tuning guide, but shoot for pig rich (.98+ mv on the o2) just to be extra safe since you're selling it anyway this weekend.

thanks guys for the help...yes i know every car is different and needs an individual tune. i set the low at -25 across and the hi at -40 and the idle is 100 times better. even though it still kept stalling in me. but anyways the car was picked up on sunday and it hurt to see her go. but atleast the new owners will get to finish her
