Hey guys so here's the deal got a 90 tsi awd cyclone motor getting fuel cut at around 5000-5500 rpm upgraded bolt ons is as follows:

b16g @10 psi (stock) no mbc some boost creep to 11-11.5
stock 450cc injectors
vented blow off valve
3" ic piping with fmic
rewired stock fuel pump (hacked maf)
venom fuel rail
fpr
pacesetter header
3" exhaust
wideband afr closed throttle-low speed about 10 and 14.5 and up around 5k rpm

so i don't have alot of money, i have a little one on the way. so what would be my next best buy so im not just throwing money at this thing and needing to spend more. im thinking dejon intake to make sure no unmetered air is getting past maf, or maf translator, or 255 walbro. but with the walbro would i need the link. i dont want to use a piggy back system, plan on e85 down the road what do you guys think???

Well I have a few suggestions. For one, you might want to try running 2.5" intercooler piping as you don't have enough turbo to supply the air needed to run that big. Also are you using stock 450cc injectors? If so you will want to upgrade to at least 550cc. With your setup I would also get a way to tune your fuel like an SAFC of a maf translator, these will be the cheapest route or you could go all out and get dsm link. Your stock fuel pump should hold up to 560cc injectors without needing an upgrade but the walbro 255 would still be a better pump.

First of all do a boost leak test.
You wont need link or any fuel management system with any walboro fuel pump if thats what you're asking. With a 255 you will need a fpr but you stated you already have one.
You will need a piggy back system, chip, or link once you upgrade the injectors to be able to compensate for them.

Like i said im on a budget right now so dsm link is out of the question, dont really want a piggy back because i plan on 1000cc and e85 down the road. what right now would best get roid of my fuel cut

From 1000 already asked questions.

In short you need ECU software.

How do I prevent fuel cut?
I have [injectors/fuel pump/fuel rail] installed, but I still get fuel cut! Is there a fix?

This question comes up a lot, mostly because people misunderstand what fuel cut is for, and why it occurs at all. For the answer to this, read this chapter of the ECU Primer.

The simple answer is that because fuel cut is pre-programmed into the ECU, there is no method of disabling it. There are no modifications that can do so, aside from an ECU upgrade that eliminates fuel cut. Upgraded fuel pumps, injectors, and fuel pressure regulators do nothing to avoid or eliminate fuel cut. NOTHING.

That being said, there are some methods (some cheap, some not) of postponing fuel cut. All the methods work on one principle: fooling the ECU into thinking there is less air entering the engine than, in fact, there is. This can be done by adding unmetered air, or by changing the sensor inputs used by the ECU to determine air mass. Of course, these methods usually mean the engines run leaner than stock. Again, read this section of the ECU primer for details.

Methods include:

removing the lower honeycomb from the MAS. See the FAQ Locator (look in the "Intake" section) and Jim McKenna's MAS modification page for more information.
'Gutting' (cutting out) the lower section of the MAS. This modification was first marketed by HKS, improved upon by Roger Hanson, Eric Typpo and Jim McKenna, and recently re-popularized by Al Blaha. This involves cutting out the entire lower section of the MAS - delaying fuel cut, but making the engine run leaner - and altering the intake air temperature sensor to compensate. Mike Jackson also does this - read his information here.
plumbing in a secondary air intake after the MAS. Use extreme caution!
the fuel cut defenser (FCD) by HKS
the dime-store fuel cut defenser (DSFCD) for 1G or 2G. Use appropriate caution.
fuel management computers, like a VPC or PMS. See the Glossary for details.

ok none of those links work anymore, how do you cut out the lower section of the mas i already hacked the mas??? i already have a fcd installed sorry forgot to mention that thanks for the help im still learning:D

Well your at the point where you are going to have to putt around until you have the money to buy what you really need. Tuning software. This is what you should have the software BEFORE you upgrade your turbo.

All the other stuffed mentioned is asking for a disaster. Do it the right way. With tuning software. Save your penny's now so it doesn't cost you more down the road.

first recirculate your blowoff valve, you could go to a 2g mafs, dont be so quick to right off an afc you can go a long way with them and there cheap, with all that said just save your money and upgrade your fuel system get your bigger injectors and link then youll be set.
