I went to get 4 new tires put on my rims yesterday, i watched the tire place put them on i was in there the whole time watching. When i left the place i hit the highway and was cruising untill i hit a red light so i had to brake. When i braked i felt some kind of pulsing or pumping in the pedal. I heard sqeeks from the brakes and sinse then i have been feeling this problem with the brakes vibrating when i slow down. I wasnt going to go back there and complain b/c the guy didnt touch my breaks i was talking with him and watching him. What could it be, a loose caliper or something!!!?!?

I can't think of anything that new tires would do that would cause your problem. Check the lugnuts and make sure everything is torqued correctly. Check your brake fluid level. If both are good I would pull the wheels and check your pads, maybe they are wearing. Make sure your brake lines are tight and there aren't any leaks. Basically do a full brake check-calipers, rotors, pads, etc. Keep us updated...

Get back there quick...i'll bet dollars to donuts they over torqued your lug nutz and bent a rotor or 4.

dam- im sorry that i havent replied to this thread in so long, i have been away from my computer a really long time. i dont know what im gonna do now, i guess i should go down there but what would i say i havent been down there since Fed 14? help me on this!! aahh

I don't think you will have much luck getting them to fix it since it has been four months. But it's still worth a try. I would just go and tell them that you had the tires put on there and that when you left it was pulsating when you would brake and you didn't know what it was and you asked around. Then tell them that you think that they over torqued your wheels and warped the rotors. That's all you can do if they don't want to fix it then I would take it to a different shop and ask them to turn your rotors.
