One day my car decided not to run. So I wanted to push it to park it at a safe place. I took the e-brake off and the car was in neutral and to my surprise, it didnt move! I took the brake fluid cap off and there was plenty of fluid. I unscrewed and removed the brake bleeding screw out to see if the brakes would unlock and nothing happened. My car wont go into gear either because there is no pressure on the clutch. I bled the clutch out and the brakes 4 days before this happened. Could anyone stipulate what the #### is wrong with my car. Could it be I need a new master cylinder? I have no idea. All i know is the brakes and clutch failed on me and all I did was treat my car as if it were a fresh fresh prr of Err Force 1's. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. Also, this is the car that is in the FOR SALE forum on TR. Thanks.

Slave Cylinder? Well I removed the bleeding screw out of the calipers and the e-brake is off and its in neutral. My shift linkages are probably off and the car wont go into gear. Before it wouldnt go into reverse. Do you think its the shift links or the master cylinder. This is a 420A we are talking about I mean how do the brakes, clutch and transmission fail all at once?

If the e-brake handle is down (off) and the car is in neutral and does not move, then the e-brake is stuck. If the rears are rotors then you have what is known as a drum in disc setup. The e-brake is actually a drum setup that is inside the rear rotor hat. The way to get at it is to remove both rear wheels. Since the rotor will not turn you will have to try to get at it from the backside. At about 6 o'clock on the rotor assembly you will see the adjuster "wheel". Rotate that untill there is slop in the assembly, and then you should be able to rotate the rotor and then reinstall the wheels and move the car.

I have never tried getting at them from the backside, but can imagine it will be a pita.

This picture shows the rubber plug (at 6 o'clock), the adjuster wheel is at the bottom of the assembly. The e-brake is the drum/shoe setup inside the rotor hat.

possibilities:

A) car will not move: 1. car is in gear or 2. brakes are on.
B) clutch goes to floor w/o pressure: 1. air in the system or 2. bad master/slave cylinder 3. broken clutch fork or pressure plate.

If your car worked fine before the bleed, I would re-bleed the clutch (correctly).
