omfg, think about this. You could put a test light on a near dead battery and the "light will glow." Does this mean its a good battery?

doesnt matter now, but to answer your question since your being smart.BrokenTsi said:omfg, think about this. You could put a test light on a near dead battery and the "light will glow." Does this mean its a good battery?

wow you took my post way to serious, as you can see the smiley at the end i was joking about the stupid battery, im sorry you got so bent out of shape over this. And since it didnt make sense to you ill try and break it down, keep in mind i was being sarcastic..... you said if the battery can light the test light does that mean it's a good battery... my response to that was.. "yeah the battery is good if he only wanted to light up the test light...as for starting a car thats another thing"BrokenTsi said:since I'm being so smart? wtf? Your boy is the one who wanted to get a new mpi fuse and replace the capacitors and do a whole bunch of other "smart things." The only thing smart that was said was the people (including myself), that said it was the battery or something between the battery and the starter. Its not hard. Its basic mechanics. Same goes for all cars.
I mean, I'm glad you fixed the car, but alot of us can say, "I told you so" and you just wouldn't listen to people who know what they're talkin about. Instead you come back with smart ass comments and come up with shiet that doesn't even make sense.
This will be my last post and my last argument with you noobs, mods, please lock this thread.
<-- how do you not see that i was refering to you in a joking manner...
yeah i was in your shoes, too much of a hobby for me so i got out.... but anyways i see your pointBrokenTsi said:it was just annoying to see you go through all that other stuff you were trying, becaues i was 99% sure there was a starter/ground problem. And your buddy was saying stupid shiet like, "thanks dad" that was kind of annoying too. I work on cars every day and see this kind of stuff happen all the time.
I'm not bent out of shape, my car starts and runs every day.
and it started right up! i hope this starter last a little longer then the last one, it only lasted 3 days because of the ground i think. either way just check all your grounds and if your starter makes a quiet "buzz" noise then its most likely your solinoid, good luck! gen 1 dsm's require a lot of dedication because you will run into little things going out on it and you will think you have them fixed untill they go out again! its a good thing i love my damn car, its just so damn fun to drive!
Ricerdude said:well maybe you should just buy a HONDA. Then your problems will just dissapear.

... Nothing but # signs throughout the post. Sorry to hear about the T-belt but the hell were you doing to have the T-belt snap in the first place? I've had a T-belt shread before because the balance shaft belt entangled in it but damn... snapping a belt! Good luck with the mechanic.FusionTalon said:...#### i hate mitsubishi for making weak timing belts/timing belt setups.

 ) beat a civic, ford fukus and chevy impala (1996 350 v8) but its a boat.

FusionTalon said:as for dsm's being unreliable, they are becasue thier 4 bangers with their 200hp from factory (remeber this is in 90-94 they didnt have the crazy sit and evo with 300+/-) pushing an engine that far can cause shit to happen.
