I just bought a small 16g for my 2g gs-t. I already have a used 14b on it, and I was somewhat satisfied with the performance gain over the t25. Especially, sense after selling the t25, I ended up making money on the 14b swap. However, I want to achieve a goal of 300whp and I don't think the 14b will get me there. At least not w/out tons of mods and money. From what Ive seen, 300whp is not incredibly difficult on a 16g. I'll let everyone know the difference performance wise between the 14b and 16g on a 2g. I hope I will not be unsatisfied though. I'm not looking for a major increase, just some more of that hold on feeling. I also didnt get the 34mm flapper, I don't think its necessary on small 16g. Anyone have boost creep issues on small 16g?
 
300WHP will take a bit of fine tuning on small16G, a big 16G would have made it a little eaiser.
 
I thought about that, but I really didn't want to deal with the huge boost creep issues associated the big 16s. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldve got one.
 
You will notice a big gain over the 14B!!

Hehe, chopped up the eminem song and made me own. Ive had bosotcreep a couple times, that was in the summer, since then I haven't had any on my small 16g
 
Hahah... My S16G boost crept at anything below 15psi. I don't see how they would be any different the differences between the small and the big are a slightly larger compressor wheel and that's it. The compressor map is where the S16G really outshines the B16G... Good purchase none-the-less :thumb:

Forget my question about if you got a new turbo in the SRT-4 thread. I found out for myself ;) when I came here! Have fun with the s16G. If you still have a chance, I would say come with me to the dark side and get the big16G. I needed a 34mm flapper for my big16G (RRE ported ex-mani, turbo everything, and O2) and I did the mod myself. Now I hold a good 22~23psi at the track (Remember I blew the pipe off of my FMIC @ California Speedway...how embarrasing)...I guess double clamping wasn't enough. Got any questions just PM me. That turbo is a nice upgrade, you will definitely feel the difference between it and the 14b.

Well, I put in the small 16g...On my stock downpipe I was getting boost creep up to 17psi. However, the funny thing is that, after I took my car on a road trip to vegas, the boost creep went away. The improvement over my 14b is great. Much more topend. I found myself shifting at over 7 grand because the car just felt and sounded much stronger up top compared to the 14b that fell on its face after 6 grand. I also started tuning it w/ the AFC and I am pretty satisfied so far w/ this turbo. After I get the rest of the supporting mods and get it tuned well, I don't think I will need to upgrade the turbo because I think traction will become the weak link. First gear is useless because of tire spin, but second gear is brutal. Its pulls pretty damn hard when the tires stick in my opinion.
