I just picked up this turbo for an UNBELIEVABLE price....about the same as buying a 14b. The turbo even came with the Greddy intake pipe.

The turbo is in excellent condion...even drove the car it was on. The guy gave me a slip from the day before...ran high 11's

Anyway, I'm just wonderin what turbo it is...maybe get a little more info on it....Has the mitsubishi symbol then 49179-52020

Heres a couple pics....

comparison to 14b

Acctually it may even be something bigger. It's definitly a tdo6 cover, but not sure on the wheel. Measure the diameter of the inlet, if its a 3" then its a modified td06 so its probably some type of 50trim.

Inlet is 3"

the guy said it was an 18g....but when i started lookin at pics of them, mine seemed different

I guess Ill share how much i paid for the pipe and turbo.....talked him down to $350

then i bought his new in box Walbro 255 for $100 and then his 650 injectors and SAFC2 w/harness for $215

looks like this, but the housing is a little different....the guy that i bought it off of said it was an 18g...only had 1500 miles on it. He said he bought it from his friend.

the turbo on the right is a new rebuilt 14b that i thought i was gonna use......cost me a little more than $350 to have it rebuilt

Its for sale btw $250obo

super congratulations dude. that is a friekin sweet deal! i wish i could find a deal like that right now. It looks to me like a SBR2g20g.

its certainly not a td06 cover, is it a 25G cover?? compare it to the S25G on hahns site

The compressor cover on the red, green, m50/60, etc is supposed to be a modified or special tdo6 cover, I have also heard it called the cyclone compressor cover. Not the same tdo6 cover found on the 20g with the 2.x inch inlet. Perhaps a vendor or anyone else that knows for sure can enlighten us.

The Syclone and Typhoon GM trucks used a TD 06 compressor housing for their 17C turbo's. Very could be a variaion of that cover. The TD 06 turbine wheel is often used by the Starquest guys on their Conquests and starions. how about apic of the turbine side?
You got the turbo from a guy on "drugs" as you stole it! congrats, it happens, just not to me! You have another version of a 50trim though not garrett. I want one at that price. Want to sell injectors? mark

Yeah that 18G from RRE looks like the best bet. Those 18G's done in TD 06 housings are quite the stump pullers! Mark

Definately looks like a "G" series compressor wheel with the tdo6 compressor cover. 18g or 20g with the tdo5 turbine wheel would be my guess. Contact the person you purchased it from and find out for sure. Keep us posted :talon:

The guy only knows that its an 18g...and thats what his friend said.

So...I guess it just is an 18g. What advantage does that housing have?
