Im taking my head off in a lil bit ive takin her apart b4 but this time i want to do everything right. Lets see i have arp head studs and i would like to know if i can reuse them, this is going to be a 2 mounth build and i want to stress the fact i want to do things Proper. My car leaks oil like no other! i have the balance shaft eliminator a aftermaket oil pressure gauge thats a 0 - 100 psi gauge and after 2.5 rpm's its maxed out. i think i said gauge to much

Go ahead and check your valve stem seals, if you want to do this correctly. That could be a big factor in your oil consumption/loss. Obviously not counting the leak. Also make sure you install a new valve cover gasket and torque it to spec!

I am getting a complete gasket kit, havnt done them all b4 though.
its vary dirty my brother was spraying the engine and such with brake parts cleaner is that cool? As far as the head studs there first time use but thats 50k miles, and how do i check there warpage?

IM going off stuff im learning to build it again! it had dual springs comp ss valves has over sized pistons this build was done a while ago by a shop they lightined the rotating assembly (making it weaker). I have a big 16g turbo a fmic i need pipes for, also looking into getting cams but i dont know cause i dont have a wideband or upgraded fuel management. The 2 month's is for me to take my time make sure its done correct and having to funds to buy the new parts. i also want to learn considering i did break it...... Twice.
I was going to use this set and a cometic mls head gasket.

How long ago was it previously rebuilt? (just curious)

How about you let us know everything you WANT to do to it, and what you have for the build already!
Then i think we should be able to help you better!!

ALSO, I hate to be the one to be the sore ass, BUT mods on here are strict about the rules. Please use proper grammar and punctuations!

Example: "b4"

First to apologise, I'll try harder for better punctuation. I would like a reliable running vehicle which i know how to do but when i pay a mechanic to do everything for me my friends say i get takin advantage of and pay to much. Right now im letting the car sit for this month have around 500$ to spend on parts, gaskets for one so i have the whole month to take my time. Sorry it was rebuilt 4 years ago by a american machine (a-accurate) shop also 50k miles ago the block is still good i have the oil pan off and there is no verticle movement in the bearings.

I wouldn't use the MLS head gasket. The top of the block has to be perfect. If you can't drag a fingernail across the block without it catching, it won't be smooth enough.

Most engine failures are caused by dirt. Clean everything. Replace all your timing components.

With the BSE kit your oil pressure is going to be extremely high. Do a search for BogusSVO. He has great tech articles, one of them I believe is porting the relief valve.

I took the easy way out with my BSE. I left the front shaft in place, and then used the stubby shaft to eliminate the rear shaft. Haven't experienced the high oil pressure problems.

Good luck in your build

The head will be decked, I just got the head off and the pistons are slightly scarred. How bad do pistons have to be before there unusable? I have the oil pan off and the rod bearings are fine. The water pump was changed last summer. I going to up load a picture of the scarring.
