98 gst eclipse....ok so i believe my turbo is bout to bite the dust because.. some times it will jerk until i let off the gas. also coolant and oil burning through exhaust. play in turbo. and sounds louder. it also looks like im leaking coolant from turbo also. but i still build 12 psi boost on my aftermarket gauge. i have checked all intercooler piping and every thing looks together and not loose. i have no mods done to turbo system in any way. only thing i have close to it tht is done is a aftermarket exhaust manifold and downpipe. . and the last thing i have replaced recently on the car has been my camshaft position sensor..

If coolant is buring through the exhaust its because your headgasket isnt sealed completely, or is blown. Are you sure its coolant you're getting in the exhaust and not just condensed water? It would have a sweet smell and the tailpipe would emit a steamy white fog.

mines going to, the cars gutless but it still spools. ocassionally theres a puff of white smoke but its normally a blueish tint. replace with a 14b or bigger if you have supporting mods.

Well if your pacesetters manifold fits your stock turbo then most likely it'll fit a 14b or 16g. And like stated sbove if you have collant in your exhaust it it definatly be due to a leaky head gasket. Get all these checked before you run your car again of you risk bad damage to internals.

Sounds like blown head gasket! Do a leak down and compression test and post your results. The last thing you want is to spend money on a new turbo and that not be your problem.

Don't need to add to a whole list I've just read. Been searching for a while now.

Here's my situation. Turbo is the stock t25, when I'm suppose to go into boost around 2.8-3000rpm right. Instead of feeling a pull the car like stalls then go. Also car is smoking more then noticeable on cold nights say 70 degrees. Car has 119k and turbo has no play at all, spins freely, no in and out, flapper is in good condition meaning no cracks. Is the turbo the cause because for over a year I thought it was clutch slippage and bad motor. I replaced all my clutch components to the brim and it's still having this problem.
I did boost leak and all I can think of. The only thing on my list now is the turbo is the cause of my effin problems LOL
I just need to confirm before I order a bigger turbo.
