Winnipeg,
I got a problem i need some help with quick. I am just finishing up my frank 4 install and I tapped the stock oil feed bigger to accomodate the ss line. anyways I am trying to pump out the metal shavings by getting someone to crank the car (no fuel or spark ofcourse) while i hold the oil feed hole with my finger to build up pressure. I cant get any oil to come out at all . Only small drops. I had it cranked about 4 times with 10 cranks each and nothing.
All i need is this oil feed and i am finished. Why is it not building pressure? I got plenty of oil in there and I even poured more in just before cranking it and still nothing.
This seems like a bad idea but i will throw it out ther anyways. Can I fire up the car for a sec, just a sec to get higher oil pressure to push the shavings out? I am thinking there is too much shavings in there and not enough pressure to get it out. Would it damage the turbo to run it dry for a sec? what if i poured some oil in there for that sec that should be ok right? I am getting some oil but just drops.
I did do alot of tapping to get the hole to accomodate the ss line so there could be lots of shavings in there.
Please help asap. thanks Axe
