Hyundai cams

Hyundai 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0' s that look like the 4g63 all interchange. Most parts are the same or similar. I have a Hyundai 1.8 head on my talon, and have a Hyundai 1.6 head to do up for another 4g63 some day (1.6 & 1.8 heads have a smaller cc, so they add compression and are otherwise the same). On a friend's laser rs turbo, I think we have some random Hyundai cams in it.

are you talking about hyundai the car maker? what are the benefits to using Hyundai heads and cams?

There wouldn't be any real benefit to running the cams, they will be similar to 4g63t cams for DSMs but should be degreed differently and are likely less aggressive to some degree.

Jrohner stated the usefulness of running a Hyundai head from certain motors, they bolt on and offer a higher compression ratio.

To clear up confusion Hyundai sometimes uses Mitsubishi motors in their cars including the 4g63. In fact the Hyundai Genesis and the evoX both use a 4b11t motor that was developed as a joint effort between Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Chrysler. The 4b11t in the Genesis is not the same as the motor in an evoX though because it lacks certain features that make the block stronger and likely some other minor details.

i want to use delta cams and i need a set of cams to sind to them so i got a set of cams out of the Hyundai with the 4g63 motor in it and i was just wanting to know if they will work....

Why don't you call Delta and ask them? They will know if they are okay with receiving Hyundai cams as cores. You aren't getting the same cams back that you sent in (at least usually) so the issue is whether or not they will accept the cores for the core charge.
