ok im rebuilding the turbo.. (its realy pissing me off bearings seem stuck) but back to the point on the hot side there is a semi cicular "crack that allows me to see the oil drain now is that normal? i thought that it mit be an oil "overflow"drain to the main return then i thought that that oil would be inderect contact with the hot side ... does that mean the turbo is done for? if it is ill be very very very pissed...

Is the hole in question between the bearing and the shaft seal of the hot side?

ok as you can see the light through one side of it . i shun the light on the oil drain. i think im just going to toss the turbo... well the CHRA at lease....

Yes, you should be able to see light there....the oil has to drain from the journals somehow- but that doesn't appear to be your biggest problem. That turbine seal lip is in ROUGH f-in' condition, and the turbine seal will probably never hold.

It should look more like this:

You need a new center housing.
