I tried searching but i couldn't find a couple answers..

I know that you have to get the non vband version of the Holset turbo's to run the bullseye housing....and that it is best to use a Nt water pipe

Here are my questons

1. Do i use the internal wastegate on the holset or do i have to get another?
2. What oil feed, oil drain lines do i use?
3. Is it best to go from the oil filter or from the head with these turbos?

Im sorry if these have been answered already and i did search but the holset threads are too cluttered and i couldnt find direct answers only contradicting ones.

Also does slowboy sell the DIY kit with the bullseye housing or where would i get that from?

i believe if you are goin to run the bulleyes turbine housing you will have to use there internal wastegate or you could go with an external ... and for the oil line i would put it on the filter housing so you have nice fresh filterd oil goin to the turbo but you could go either way ...and you will probably need custom steel bradied oil return and feed lines

Just run it off the head, save some headaches. These turbo's like the low pressure, other wise they blow oil. Also, the head is not "dirty" it's still pretty clean oil. The stock line also has a restrictor built in.

so i can use the stock line that a 1g uses and feed from the head or do i need to get a Steel braided one? cause if i need a steel one i might as well go from the filter since i have one already and just get a restricter

I just pulled my motor today to start some early summer cleaning and replace a few things. I was thinking my HX35 was passing oil but I was way wrong. Neither the cold or hot side was pushing oil. I have a -4 AN oil feed line off the filter housing. No restrictor. But I do have my oil filter housing releaf valve ported quite a bit so I don't see insainly high oil pressures.

The service manual says to kept the oil pressure under 44 PSI if I recall correctly for the HX35.

Well I've seen oil pressure in the upper 90psi range upon startup, and normal crusing at 75psi....so I would recommend a restrictor....even if you ported it out it is still flowing a lot of oil...I would use the restrictor...GRE sells a pre-filter/restrictor.

Turbonetics turbo come with a restrictor from the factory that voids your warranty if removed or if the wax seal is broken, Turbo like thies you cannot run oil from the head! I tried and set down a 60-1 within 70 miles of driving.

I've been running my hx40 for the last 10k from the head -3 An line, no restrictor and have had no pushing of oil, and no shaftplay at all. You have to keep in mind this is NOT a garrett turbo.

What's the big deal? If you're worried about it, just buy a restrictor for $18 and use that. If you aren't worried about it, don't buy it.

Either that, or run oil from the head and use an inline filter...

I used the holset internal WG for a year, and it constantly leaked or came open early. I even sent my original one back and got the newer(small) one. I finally went to the Tial 38mm Sport External Waste Gate. Best decision I ever made. Also Myself, and Tim both use this turbo, and use no restrictor at all. Have had the turbo for over a year daily driven and had no problems. Some feel it is necessary, but i DON'T.

For the guys not using a restrictor, take a log of your spool times and then just for laughs or your amazement put in a 1/16 inch inline resteictor in the line then log your spool times again, manufacturures do and say things for a reason!! high oil pressures create an oil wedge which acts like a handbrake on the turbo shaft.
