I am looking for information on removal and install of hub bolts, without the special tools that the mitsubishi service manual uses. How to change these out? Just hit with a hammer and tighten the new ones in with a lugnut?

yeah pretty much, just get an open lug nut or 2 so , so the large face can go towards the hup flange when you pull it thu.

Will the new stud slop between the bearing and the hub flange? or do you plan on changing the bearings too?

when you knock the center hub out, the outter race will come out still stuck to the center hub, and that breaks the seal of the bearing, therefor making the bearing junk.

Ok thank you. New bearing/hub assemblys/wheel studs/knuckle kits with both lower control arms and ball joints/upper control arms with ball joints/stabilizer bar bushings/End links and new steering rack with new outer tie rod ends. Motor is out so just replacing some parts with new stuff. Not sure if the ball joints are the factory ones still, about 117k miles, so with the motor out, it's time to freshin up the front suspension/steering with all new components.
Getting these parts from JNZ tuning.

Checked those out, thanks for the links. Pretty simple, just had never changed one. On the first link you provided he says the bearings run about $200 for the timkin bearings, FYI The ones from JNZ are only $122 for the hub/bearing assembly
