How would I remove this?

I am getting reading to order and put in a new gauge bezel, like the carbon fiber look in the dash. More to the point the second picture shows the piece held in place in front of the stock speedo, gas gauge ect. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove that piece. I want to remove and paint mine red just like the one seen in the picture. I need some advice because after I pull the two screws I can get the piece to move but I can't pop it out, how would I go about doing this?

Pull it straight out. There are 2 clips on the bottom you can't see that are keeping it held in place.

Where would you suggest pulling it from? I ask this because the top of that piece sits up into the bottom of the dash.

Pull from the bottom of it, since that's where the clips are at.
