How to tell which year 7 bolt you have?

Is there any way to tell what year 7 bolt you have? I have a 96 spyder gst. I can tell the motor has been freshened up. But how do I know what year car it came out of? I am wanting to know it it is possible this is a 98-99 block. If you know a link it would be appreciated.
