First thing you need to do is remove the top timing belt cover and use a 1/2" ratchet to turn the crankshaft clockwise until the timing mark on the harmonic balancer lines up with 0º TDC. The cam gear timing marks will line up in the center and the key that holds the gears in place will be facing upwards. If this is correct, your timing belt is correctly installed. Install the timing belt cover.

If your timing belt is correct, check your Cam Angle Sensor (CAS). The CAS should be adjusted about half of it's full adjustment. If it is not adjust it to be somewhere in the center.

If your vehicle still will not stay running, you have something other than timing wrong. You can loosen the BISS screw about 2 full turns to see if it will keep the engine atleast running on it's own so you can further diagnose your problem.

Once you are able to stabilize the idle to ~750 RPM, connect a jumper wire from the Tach plug behind the battery to the negative terminal of the battery and then connect a timing light. Be sure you put the timing light on your #1 cylinder. This is the closest one to your timing belt. Depending how long your leads on are your timing light, you can point the light at your harmonic balancer from in front of your wheel. Adjust your CAS to make the timing 5º BTDC and you are all set! :)
