So how do I remove a center cap from the stock 16" wheel as found on 92 Talon AWD?
 
There is a spring clip behind the cap, like the pic below. You need to remove the wheels to remove that spring clip.

Thanks, it goes out from the inside of the wheel. My clip rusted away though.
 
You can still get the caps and they come with clips. I am not certain (but probably) if the clips are sold separately. My local Walmart broke one of my caps and I made them buy me a new one (and then THEY wanted my old one which I told them didn't belong to them so KICK ROCKS).
