I was hoping to find some info on making a gst and gsx , things like what do i need beside an all wheel drive tranny i would to kno if it would be that could be done with little fab work thanx for the feed back

I would only do it on a Spyder as well, I have bought my last 3 2G AWD cars & only spent $1100 for the most expensive one..HAHA

It's not that hard.
If you know your car and know that it is in good shape, (Interior, engine tires, electrical bla, bla, bla, Ho and NO RUST), I definitely would do it.

Is hard to find a clean and well care AWD, Most of them are Abused a lot and engine suffer more then a FWD.
(Weight) and because of the fact that they are AWD. (Can put more power to take off), which the FWD, You need to moderate the power, other wise you will spin your tires.

If your car is not in very nice conditions. Then

(SELL THE GST AND BUY AN AWD).

After read the info provided i agree the it would be easier to sell the swap but i love the one i have so i guess i will save up or sell my 300zx tt for GSX thanx you guys

This is What I did.

I bought an AWD (not working).
I Did the Swap to my GST (rear end and Brackets ETC).
I was going to salvage the AWD that I bought, But I felt do bad to trash a nice car. So
I decide to do a GST Conversion (I put all from my GST to the AWD, I end it up having two Cars a GST conversion which is the one I am using and an AWD conversion which still in progress because of a bad AWD TRanny.

Now I will sell the GST Conversion for a couple of Backs to get some money back and keep my AWD Conversion.

By the way the GST Conversion is been working grate and feels much stronger when it was AWD.

Here is my SWAP Check it out.

I have a 95 with a 6 bolt bottom end and if i wanted to do awd do i need first gen rear, gas tank , exhaust, and tranny or does it matter if i go with 2g ROFL

You cant use the first gen rear end on a 2g. It is no wear near the same. The 2g uses a wish bone suspension. Entirely different than a 1g. Having a 6 bolt has nothing to do with what rear end you choose. Your rear must match your t-case/tranny.

so i can use a 7 bolt awd tranny ? or does have to 6 bolt due to my motor ?

That's wright.
Your Tranny has to much with your TCase.
All the 2g rear end has the same Ratios, so they all are interchangeable.
Except for the Auto.
Manual and auto rear end are different.
Make sure you use a Manual rear end.

The motor has nothing to do with the rear end.

Do you have a 1g Tranny?.
If you have a 2g Tranny, then you use a 2g rear end.

Sorry, I miss understood.

You need to use a 2g Tranny.
A 2g tranny will bolt on the 6 bolt engine.

I'm swapping everything out this weekend. I bought a whole rolling shell with full drivetrain and harnesses for cheap. IMO if your GST is in great condition, and you can get a full gsx shell for cheap. Its worth it.

Plus, I'll be auto awd and the trans was just rebuild!
