Anyone has the knowledge on this subject? I'm not a racer or anything but I want to keep up with my friends who has nice and fast cars every time we go cruising. This is my first car, and I have no idea how to build it and how much will it cost me to make it a little bit faster. Hoping for your kind and knowledgeable replies! Cheers

Mods to only be done after ^^^^^^^^^^

Tee Hee. I'm not sure I'm understanding what you mean Bud, but after what? Maintenence? After clamoring on about 10second A/T DSMs that aren't 420a's? He's likely more interested in making his car fast.
It appeared that gotmyeclipse, being so new, had not yet visited the tech article index. Included in the tech articles are simple DIY mods you can do to a dsm that doesn't cost much.

hi there, is there any simple DIY mods you can do to a dsm that doesnt cost much.

Definitely try out a RoadSurge box if you want to make the car feel more snappy, else I'm afraid you'll just end up dumping in $$$$ for 8hp.

ill check it out thanks!

The car is a 420a auto. Just leave it alone. Throw on what ever muffler you like for the sound you like and leave the rest alone LOL. Keep it as a nice looking dd while you save for a turbo car.

You could buy a turbo car for the cost of any kind of swap and makes loads more power. Rims, tires, suspension, no harm in making it look nice. But as for performance thats the worst possible place to start.

I agree. I had a 420a and IMO they are not worth modding. Just make it look nice and keep it well maintained.
